Lev Borukhov, FNP – Founder of HydrateXpress
Meet Lev Borukhov, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the founder of HydrateXpress—a company built on the belief that wellness should be accessible, convenient, and deeply personalized. With over 16 years of frontline medical experience, Lev’s career began as an EMT and Paramedic in New York City’s demanding 911 system. He later advanced to ER and ICU nursing, eventually becoming a Nurse Practitioner dedicated to delivering patient-centered care.
Throughout his journey, Lev saw firsthand how traditional healthcare often falls short—long wait times, limited access, and impersonal experiences. That insight sparked the creation of HydrateXpress: a mobile IV therapy service designed to break down those barriers and bring expert care directly to clients, anytime, anywhere.
Beyond wellness, Lev is driven by a deeper purpose—to make a lasting impact. That’s why 5% of all IV infusion profits are donated to Heart to Heart International, a nonprofit organization delivering life-saving care to underserved communities around the world. Meet the CEO
My name is Lev Borukhov, I’m the CEO and founder of HydrateXpress. My journey in healthcare spans over a decade, beginning as an Emergency Medical Technician, a role where I first encountered the diverse challenges of urgent medical care. I then progressed to become a Paramedic in New York City’s demanding 911 system, where I honed my skills in emergency medicine. This experience was further enriched by my role in the dynamic environments of sports and the entertainment industry, where I provided and supervised medical care at a variety of high-energy events, including concerts, rave parties, hockey games, basketball matches, and more. Each setting provided unique challenges and learning opportunities, enriching my expertise in emergency and critical care. Later, I transitioned to a Registered Nurse, with a focus on ER and ICU care, which deepened my dedication to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
When I first envisioned HydrateXpress, it was more than just a business idea—it was a mission. Throughout my experiences in the healthcare industry, I recognized a significant gap between the needs of individuals and the services available to them. My aim with HydrateXpress is to bridge this gap, to bring transformative wellness solutions directly to those who seek them, and to redefine the traditional healthcare experience.

He received his MD degree from New York University School of Medicine prior to completing his Emergency Medicine residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Thakker’s ongoing clinical practice in a busy New York City ER, as well as his prior research on the effects of nutrition on immune system function, have shown him that hydration and nourishment are essential to physical and mental wellness.
